Nairobi: Jambojet plane crashes into Poland at JKIA

How did the Jambojet plane crash into poles?

In a statement obtained by TUKO.co.ke, Jambojet management said the accident occurred during routine nighttime maintenance work.

They further stated that the aircraft rolled down the slope and crashed into poles, damaging the nose.

There were no casualties during the incident and all employees are in good condition.

“Our team is working closely with the authorities to investigate the matter and ensure that all necessary measures are taken to prevent a recurrence. Safety remains our top priority and we remain committed to maintaining the highest standards in all our operations,” the statement said. part.

The aircraft involved in the accident has been taken out of service until it is cleared to resume normal operations.

The company’s management warned customers of possible flight disruptions due to the incident and apologized for any inconvenience caused.

“We anticipate some flight disruptions as a result of this incident, and affected guests will be communicated directly. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and reiterate our commitment to the safety of our staff and customers.”

Government closes runway at JKIA after plane incident

In a separate incident, the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) on Tuesday, June 11, announced a runway closure at JKIA.

In a statement, KAA said the measure was taken following an incident involving a Kenya Airways aircraft, but no injuries were reported.
