Three young people arrested on suspicion of theft and assault after attack on mystery man in Birmingham

Officers released a photo of the alleged victim after the incident was reported by passers-by yesterday (Friday).

West Midlands Police said: “We were alerted at around 2am yesterday (November 29) that a man was attacked and robbed on Smallbrook Queensway. Witness statements indicate that the victim, believed to be between 30 and 40 years old, left the area and was unsteady on his feet.

“As part of our investigation we have arrested three young people on suspicion of theft but despite extensive inquiries we are yet to locate the victim. We want to establish how seriously injured they are and whether they require hospital treatment.”
