Post-apocalyptic thriller shot in Colorado and starring ‘Avengers’ actor in theaters this week

Called a post-apocalyptic action thriller Height will be released in the United States later this week – and was filmed in Colorado.

Starring Anthony Mackie, perhaps best known for his recurring role as Sam Wilson, aka Falcon, in the Avenger series, the film is set in a Rocky Mountain scene where monstrous creatures target humans – but only at altitudes below 2,000 meters. After surviving three years in this terrifying post-apocalyptic world, a trio of characters must dive below 2,000 meters in an attempt to rescue a young boy, with chaos sure to follow.

The film is also a long time coming: filming started two years ago in Colorado, in November 2022, and ended in March of the following year. Those familiar with the Centennial State landscape will likely recognize scenes from Golden and Boulder, two places where the movie was primarily filmed.

It’s also worth noting that one of the film’s producers is Brad Fuller, who was involved in A Quiet Place and The Purge.

Pre-sale tickets for the film can already be purchased at AMC Theaters. Check out the showtimes here and find the official trailer below:
