One man is in hospital following an attack in an alley in southeast Calgary

A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being assaulted on Saturday morning.

A Calgary police spokesperson confirmed that police were called to a home on 37^e Street SE north of 17 Avenue in the 1500 block for reports of an assault that occurred around 4:30 a.m.

A man was walking in a dark alley when he was allegedly attacked by two other men.

The police would not confirm what type of weapon it was.

No suspect descriptions are available.
