National Lok Adalat will be held in Telangana on December 14

Hyderabad:A National Lok Adalat will be held across Telangana on December 14, said Renuka Yarra, chief civil court judge and chairman of the District Legal Services Authority. Its primary purpose is to provide a platform for speedy resolution of motor vehicle accident cases, civil cases and other matters.

Judge Yarra emphasized the importance of a settlement in resolving legal disputes, stating that it is the most effective way to bring cases to a close

quickly. She urged litigants to take advantage of the Lok Adalat.

She said that during the Lok Adalats held earlier this year, 1,643 accident and civil cases were resolved, resulting in a combined compensation of over Rs 100 crore for the affected parties. In addition, 8,207 banking cases were settled with the litigants receiving a total of Rs 21.47 crore.

To expedite resolution of accident cases, medical councils will be constituted at Osmania Hospital on December 2, 3, 9 and 10. These boards will be responsible for conducting medical examinations of accident victims and issuing necessary certificates, which will help in the claims process. .
