Montel Williams Addresses ‘Sex Tape’ Rumors With Kamala Harris

Television host and actor Montel Williams took to social media to debunk claims about a sex tape involving him and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris. Per The Shadow RoomWilliams, 68, and Vice President Harris briefly dated more than two decades ago.

Their past relationship has since been widely discussed after Harris, 60, launched her 2019 presidential campaign. Williams responded to the sex tape claims on Wednesday after an alleged blogger claimed there was “shopping going on.”

“Wow, I was just informed by my friend who is the CEO of a major tech company that a sex tape is reportedly being shopped with Kamala Harris and Montel Williams,” the user claimed on and damage to the Harris campaign with just 8 days until the election.”

But Williams, who also retired from the U.S. Navy with honors after more than two decades of service, cited the post and dismissed those claims. “Wow, I hear a blogger I’ve never heard of has gotten millions of views and claims someone is ‘shopping’ a sex tape of mine that will ‘break the internet,’” he wrote.

“Let’s break the internet with the truth – there is no tape. The surge in @KamalaHQ is clearly worrying some people.” Several media reports indicate that the presidential race between Harris and Trump is currently close, with just a few days until Election Day.

Williams discussing his past relationship with Harris wasn’t the first time he had done so. In 2019, he commented on a viral red carpet photo of him and Harris, saying that they “briefly dated about 20 years ago when we were both single.”

“And then?” he asked. “I have great respect for Senator Harris. I wonder if the same stories would have been written about her dating history if she had been a male candidate?
