The Jacksonville Jaguars entered Sunday’s Week 9 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles (5-2) with many key players on the injury list.

The team ruled out starting left guard Ezra Cleveland prior to the game and listed several players, including running backs Travis Etienne (hamstring) and Tank Bigsby (ankle), right guard Brandon Scherff (knee) and receivers Brian Thomas Jr. (chest). and Gabe Davis (shoulder) as questionable.

Before the game, the team ruled out two players seeking to clear the team’s injured reserve list, lowering safety Andrew Wingard (knee) and running back Keilan Robinson (toe) from their original “questionable” tags from Friday.

Defensive tackle Maason Smith will miss his second straight game due to an ankle injury. At the same time, receiver Christian Kirk was placed on injured reserve after suffering a broken collarbone against the Green Bay Packers in Week 8.

Jaguars Week 9 inactive vs. Eagles: Gabe Davis inactive, Travis Etienne officially active

The Jaguars received good news about Etienne this week. The fourth-year back is officially active against the Eagles after missing the last two games due to a hamstring injury suffered against the Chicago Bears in London.

Etienne said earlier this week that as soon as he is completely cured of the ailment, he wants to work at full speed again so that he does not suffer a setback.

Bigsby is also active after starting the last two games.

Thomas, who has quickly become the team’s leading receiver this year with a team-leading 573 yards and five touchdowns, is active despite working on a limited basis this week.

However, Davis will not play today against the Eagles.
